WIC Clinic Status Update

WIC Clinic Status Update

Update: Most WIC clinics are still open. However, some WIC clinics will close temporarily to

protect the health of WIC participants and staff. Your local WIC clinic will contact you if they are

closing.

Important: If you or anyone in your family have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please

call your WIC office and reschedule your appointment. You may also be able to complete your

WIC appointment over the phone. Thank you and be safe.

Dangers of Homemade Infant Formula

Is your grocery store out of your WIC infant formula? Please contact your local WIC clinic and

ask for help. Do not try to make homemade infant formula, as it is dangerous for your baby.

Please know that WIC is always here to help and support you during these difficult times.

 Importance of Frequent Handwashing

Regular handwashing is one of the best ways to avoid catching or spreading COVID-19. Teach

your child to wash for at least 20 seconds—the length of time it takes to sing the ABC song.

Thank You to WIC Staff

A huge thanks to the dedicated WIC staff who are working both on the frontlines and in an

administrative capacity to serve WIC participants. They are helping to ensure that mothers and

young children have access to healthy foods, breastfeeding support, and are accurately

informed on maternal and child recommendations during this public health emergency!
